It’s one hour
earlier later today than it was yesterday, due to Daylight Savings Time.
NEW! In 2007 Daylight Saving Time begins on the second Sunday in March and ends on the first Sunday in November. This pattern will be followed by all provinces which observe daylight saving time and each province has amended their legislation to reflect this change. Previously, Canada had observed Daylight Saving Time from the first Sunday in April until the last Sunday in October.
This change in Daylight Saving Time will keep Canada’s Daylight Saving Time pattern consistent with the United States which enacted into law a broad energy bill that will extend Daylight Saving Time in the same manner.
Canada uses six primary time zones. From east to west they are Newfoundland Time Zone, Atlantic Time Zone, Eastern Time, Central Time Zone, Mountain Time Zone, and the Pacific Time Zone. Note: Newfoundland and Labrador Daylight Saving Time begins and ends one minute after midnight (12:01 a.m.) local time.
Now .. we deal with M.T.S. (Manitoba Telephone System) .. and get DSL .. MTS T.V. … Business Line with Call Display and all that – and the TV and Phones are still showing the wrong time.
Me? Personally .. I couldn’t care less .. there isn’t enough hours in the day as it is, so I’m pretty much flexible with the reality of the clock and time!
My Wife? Well, she cares. Already she missed her 9:30am workout booking at Shapes, and wonders .. WHEN IS AMAZING RACE ON TONIGHT? 6pm CST ?? or 7pm CST ??
You see, we won’t be home and will be setting the recorder between Amazing race and The Apprentice which, is either 3 or 4 hours .. and the tape is usually 3 hours .. so you can see our dilemma .. well, my wife’s dilemma – I’ll just watch it on the east coast when it comes on again at midnight or 1am and – GEESH – aren’t these two shows on about 100 times before next week?
I’ve been watching it but, weaning off trying to remember names and paying attention to details because by the end of March I will not have time for these reality shows anyway .. I don’t miss anything if I’m not interested in that.
