Hi. We go back a loooong time .. We used to go to different schools together >.. Or, that’s something my father might have said, without even knowing he was a comedian!

Joe Yanuzzi and I have been instant messaging for the a while now .. the only thing is .. he doesn’t use instant messenger .. he uses Email. What this means is that we email back and forth emails that take up the least amount of characters, 😛 , and never change the subject matter for at least a few days! It’s quite exciting to find anything useful, if you have to go back because there might be around 100 emails in the inbox, maybe 20 per day. So, it’s helpful to know what week you were discussing something!

Have you any Email Friends Like this? I’m sure you do!

Anyway .. as I mentioned in the title, I have been offering my 2 cents, whatever it’s worth down there in L.A., and this is what I get from Joe …. http://yanuzzi.net/hart/ … Now, if it’s early in the morning and you are reading this before your first cup of coffee – BEWARE! Wear Sunglasses!

Anyway, that’s Joe’s countdown to my birthday … July 11 … (7-Eleven and yes I drink a lot of coffee).

SO WHY SHOULD YOU CARE?

There’s some significance of today .. June 15th …. because it’s Joe Yanuzzi’s Dad’s Birthday .. HAPPY BIRTHDAY JOE SR.! Besides being the deadline for self-employed individuals to file their 2005 income tax return, without penalty .. and the 15th is always the due date of the monthly payroll remittance, and that June 15th is the 2nd quarterly tax instalment due date .. etc etc etc … but, in about 15 minutes it will be …

JUNE 16th

June 16th is my younger brother’s birthday … BRAD is one year younger than me … but, since I was born on July 11th and he was born on June 16th .. for the next 25 days we are the “same age” .. I don’t know why everybody in my family just doesn’t get it, but it’s too close to Father’s Day this weekend and my father is really, well .. he gets the biggest enjoyment from all of this.

DAD: It’s your brother’s birthday today.
HART: I know.
DAD: How old is he?
HART: I’m not sure.. how old?
DAD: He’s the same age as you.
HART: Oh – right. How old am I?
DAD: Don’t you know?
HART: I know the year I was born.
HART: It’s not the year Brad was born.
HART: Then how can we be the same age?
DAD: KnuckleHead .. you both are the same age for the next 25 days!
HART: Oh right. Now I remember:

I could go on and on .. but, you get the gist of our conversations up to and including the day of my birthday. And what happens on my birthday? Oh .. something like this:

DAD: Brad .. Stop That.. Listen to your Brother.
BRAD: why?
DAD: Because he’s older than you.
HART: 😛

BACK TO JOE YANUZZI AND HIS ADOBE PHOTOSHOP MAGIC!

I mentioned that he’s quite proficient with photoshop, didn’t I? Well, in case you have been visiting HART’ Picks .. I recently installed a new wordpress template and Joe has been kind enough to be shooting me over some header graphics. I thought I would post them here, on top of each each to see them all. CAUTION: Objects are larger in rear view mirrors or something like that!

I should mention, that Joe has been working with in my prescribed guidelines … which, isn’t too much 🙂

I like the pinkish/red – matches the text of entries.

The navy blueish – matches the text of the entries with a mouseover.

Give these two color restrictions … I am personally leaning towards #11

You Birthday is 7-11?

-joe says:

last year I found out my mom’s Bday was 7-11. We or she celebrated it on 7-12 but I was talking to her on the phone and she said her birth certificate read 7-11 and she doesn’t know why her family celebrated it on the 12th. I wonder if it was superstition?

That’s pretty odd, because I’ve always thought 7 & 11 were lucky numbers! At least, if you play roulette I guess .. It hasn’t been that lucky for me.
