A new twist on the Canada Revenue Agency scam. An Ontario woman says she was scammed by someone posing as a Canadian Border Services Agent, and was fooled because they appeared to call from her husband’s phone.

Latest phone scam – Canada Revenue Agency – LOL . Sorry for the low volume. This call came in to my work cell phone. I like the part where they say “get you arrested”. Don’t fall for these idiots! Do not answer calls you do not recognize.
I had 6 missed calls from the same number with an automated message telling me I had a lawsuit being file against me for tax evasion. Called back with a fake name and this was our conversation!
These geniuses called me and left a message claiming that there was a warrant for my arrest due to tax fraud so I called them back to see what’s gucci. They tell me that I can’t pay I will be arrested for 5 days and then in court on the 6th day. Damn, that’s like how God built the Earth. I guess I get Sunday off too. After that the say that in order for me to jail, I would have to get some tax paying vouchers that I can get from, Shopper’s Drug Mart. Listen for yourself and watch [More]

I received a digitally recorded message instructing me to call the IRS about being sued. The IRS does not call people. The number that called 585 444 7131….Of course it was some ignorant assed dot heads posing as the IRS, in between their cab service and 7-11 cashier time
A message from a number in California saying I owed taxes to CRA. Wonder if they wanted my credit card number.
This is a quick video i recorded of a Canadian revenue agency phone call scam I’ve been receiving lately. A robotic voice overlaid with a strange breathing/distortion filter makes this call quite unnerving. the caller claims to be a case officer for some amount of money you apparently owe, and requests you call the number he gives.
These guys call scamming people so mom calls back and rages on them…

Our household had received two phone calls. It was a recorded message from the CRA stating that we needed to call a number immediately as there was a lawsuit pending due to taxes owing. So, I first call the CRA to ensure that my tax account is in order and sure enough it is. The real CRA representative answered the line with his name and badge number. He was very polite and helpful and I told him about the phone call we received about being threatened with a lawsuit. And he replied jokingly, “I know alot of people have the [More]

My wife recieved this call she was aware of this scam (thanks to Toronto Police and CRA for awareness, we already watched the local news @ CP24 couple of weeks ago) . This guy threatened her with reporting to police and forwarding our case to court and said if we pay 6000 dollars we will be cleared of there list. These fools were not aware [More]

Got a call this morning from this guy claiming to be from Canada Revenue Agency. I did not pick up my phone I just let my machine record him. I called H@R Block and also Revenue Canada and they both said it is a fraudulent call and I should spread this video to inform people not to fall for it.

http://RealityUnKnown.com This is a recorded call from telephone number 202-559-6606. “This is in reference to a criminal lawsuit filed against you. Your case number is CH94436. The moment you receive this message I need you or your attorney of record to return the call. The issue at hand is extremely time sensitive. My phone number is 202-559-6606. Do not call back . This is a scam. They will try to scare you and get money from you either by Gift card or credit card. Do not give any personal and banking information.
Someone celebrated April Fools today…just got a call from (613) 707-0339 at which a speaker with a heavy Asian accent identified himself as “Officer Ryan Smith” of the CRA (Canada Revenue Agency), threatening to charge me with tax fraud. This is a SCAM. I dialed *57 and reported the number. People in the US are getting similar calls, albeit under the guise of IRS and with a US phone number on their call displays.
Here is a recording of a message that was left on my answering machine. The call came from this number (613)655-9943. “…from last few days regarding case file. There is a lawsuit that’s filing against you from Canada Revenue Agency and warrant has been issued. To get more information about this case file please call us now on 613-655-9943. I repeat, 613-655-9943. Thank you and God bless you.” Beware of telephone and email scams The Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) warns all taxpayers to beware of telephone calls or emails that claim to be from the CRA but are not. Phone scams have been around for almost as long as there have been phones, but the advent and rapid dissemination of technology has made them easier to produce and more convincing. With tax season upon us, the Canada Revenue agency phone scam is once again circulating Calgary and across the country.. What often plays out is that your hone rings and a recorded and automated voice message tells you that an arrest warrant has been issued in your name and that the police will be coming to your home. This is followed by a number for you to call, at [More]
This pair of messages was left on our house-line answering machine a few hours apart in the morning of Wednesday, November 26, 2015. Ignore the answering machine statement that says the messages were left on a Sunday ─ the machine just has its settings off. Obviously no one with an accent as thick as this ever bore the name “Eric Foster.” Also, I worked at Revenue Canada years ago ─ including as a support clerk for Collections, for Payroll Audit, and even for a group of Field Collectors. None of them would ever have left a message for somebody they [More]
Do not get caught in the CRA scam. Scammers call pretending to be representatives of the Canada Revenue Agency when in fact they are not. They threaten with legal action and arrest unless you send them money for unpaid taxes. It is a SCAM, do not fall victim. In most cases the callers have obvious accents although they do their best to hide them. Police are investigating. If you or a family member has fallen victim to this fraud, please report to your local police service, as well as the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre (CAFC). You have two ways to make [More]
This message from “Officer John Parker” of Canada Revenue Agency was left today (January 20, 2016). The static effect is the fault of the caller ─ it’s clearly an automated call. Please do not ever fall for this sort of nonsense. Neither CRA, nor the IRS in the States, cold-call the public. You would have long before been sent collection notices. Nor would legitimate agents threaten “You!” Any intended recipient of the call would have been clearly identified. For example, there are four taxpayers in my household, and a fifth will be filing this Spring for the first time in [More]
